FIRST CLOCKWORK A HIT, SECOND EVEN BIGGER, FOURTH BIGGEST YET!
In 2010 local blog and event promoters Steampunk Chicago established the Second City as the midwestern hub of the burgeoning steampunk movement when their landmark dance party "The Clockwork Vaudeville" came charging into Chicago's nightlife scene.
Time Out Chicago wrote, "Clockwork Vaudeville has already gained notice as one of the few club nights where night owls in bowler hats can hear the likes of the Variable Dr. N make music with the aid of an antiquated typewrite."
And local photobooth hot shots Glitter Guts said of it,"The biggest and best of the regular steampunk events in Chicago is the Clockwork Vaudeville, an event that features a variety of live performances: burlesque, freakshows, bands, magicians, strippers, and circus acts."
On Saturday July 21st, Clockwork Vaudeville is back for it's fourth of this year's hit series.
For this clockwork event Steampunk Chicago proudly brings New York cabaret/vaudeville pianist and comedian Sabrina Chap to talk up the audience with her witty stories and make them dance with her wry songs. There will be performances from local mad science theremin and accordion band The White City Rippers.
Along with this will be the return of Steampunk Chicago's own hit show The Lord Baron's Family Cocktail Hour!
There will also be a chance to peruse the wearable and buyable art of Cristina Beller as well as have your palm read! On top of that there are drink specials on local Indiana distillery, Tipton Spirit's own Harrison Bourbon and Desiree Vodka.
The Clockwork Vaudeville is happening at Ace Bar, 1505 W. Fullerton Ave in Chicago, IL. Doors are at 9pm, the show is 21+. There are dinner specials for those who wish to come early.
Door is $5 or $30 for a Patron Pass. Patron's get a two hour complimentary bar of Harrison Bourbon, Desiree Vodka or domestic draft beer as well as a limited edition pin and thank you on Steampunk Chicago's web page.
